YMCA Immigrant Services enhances the “wellness” and integration of newcomers/ immigrants by providing programs, resources and support services to assist in the creation of an inclusive community.

Settlement Services
Service to assist with the settlement and integration of newcomers to Canada.
Services include (but not limited to):
Information and referrals
Assistance with documentation
Newcomer information workshops
School registrations
Housing support
On site Immunization Clinic, Taxation, Immigration, Credential Assessment Clinics
Employment Services
Culturally appropriate employment assistance, support and services, provided to newcomer/immigrants to enhance employment opportunities.
Twelve week program consisting of five days in class and eleven weeks one on one supported job search, designed to enhance skills for the successful employment of immigrants/newcomers.
Race Relations
Services
The promotion and
implementation of proactive race relations activities and services through a
variety of community based initiatives and activities.

Language Interpreter Service
Language Interpreter Services available in a variety of languages, including: Arabic, French, German, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Persian/Farsi, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Spanish, Tagalog/Filipino, Tamil, and Urdu.
Rate: $28 /hr.
Muslim Women’s Group
(Sister’s Strengths) A bi-weekly women’s group hosted in partnership with the Islamic Centre of Cambridge.
