Job Description/Responsibility:

Assist trained swim instructors with children who have physical, development and or communication disabilities in a one on one setting in the pool.  Assist instructors with setting up and putting equipment away.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in dealing with young adults who have disabilities.

  • CPR –A

  • Police Check

  • Strong swimming skills

  • TB test

Adult Volleyball : Thursday's @ 8:30 - 10:45 p.m.

Job Description:

To provide leadership and oversee the volleyball game while ensuring the gym is used by all participants in a safe manner.

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for the set up and take down of all equipment and monitoring of the gym and proactively responding to situations, behaviour concerns, with priority on safety.

  • Identifying all players and ensuring they each are giving playing time.

  • Knowledge of volleyball rules and actively participating.

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 

  • Current YMCA member

  • Knowledge of volleyball

  • Police Check

  • CPR-A

 

Adult Badminton: Wednesday's @ 8:30-10:45 p.m.

To provide leadership and oversee the adult badminton schedule while ensuring that all participants are involved.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Set up and take down of all equipment.

  • Responsible for creating schedule and having all participants rotate giving all ample time to complete their game.

  • Knowledge of badminton rules and actively participating.

 

Qualification/Experience:

 

  • Current YMCA member

  • Knowledge of badminton

  • Police Check

  • CPR-A

 

Adult Table Tennis: Monday's @ 8:30-10:00 p.m.

Job Description:

To assist instructors with teens and young adults with both physical and cognitive disabilities in learning the basics of "working out" in the YMCA Fitness Centre.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting instructors with this specifically designed course for those individuals with a disability.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Experience in dealing with young adults who have a disability as well as fitness/weight training experience.

  • Ability to assist in lifting individuals on to the fitness equipment.

  • Current YMCA member.

  • Police Check.

  • CPR-A.
